Every team from AA, AAA and Majors will select a player that best exemplifies these wonderful traits. This award is NOT intended to go to the best player or the most popular player (unless that player is also the best sport). This award is designed for that boy or girl who LOVES the game, shows up on time with a great attitude, has a smile on his/her face regardless of results, they do not let errors or strikeouts get them down, they support their teammates regardless of the situation, respect their opponents and their coaches and umpires. The players selected will receive a sportsmanship jersey.
