Official Little League age rules are different for baseball and softball. Please refer to the charts:
Falmouth Baseball Age Guidelines
*All 1st and 2nd graders play in AA (Coach Pitch)
* All 3rd graders play in the AAA (player pitch) division and are not eligible for the Majors Division
* 4th graders may play in the AAA or Majors division. A player may choose to sign up for AAA and skip evaluations. 4th grade 10 year-olds who wish to play in the Majors division must attend a short 15-minute skills evaluation OR be recommended for Majors by last year’s AAA coach.
* All 11 and 12 year-old 5th and 6th graders play in the Majors division. 6th graders who turn 13 before August 31, 2022 may get a waiver to play Majors baseball with their classmates during the regular season, but they would be ineligible for All-Star competition.
* All 13 and 14 year-old 7th graders and 6th grade boys who turn 13 before August 31, 2022 should sign up for Juniors Travel Baseball.
* 14 and 15 year-old 8th and 9th graders should sign up for Seniors Travel Baseball. Some 8th graders may play on the Juniors team if we need more boys to field a full squad.
Falmouth Softball Age Guidelines
*All 1st and 2nd graders play in AA (Coach Pitch)
* 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders should sign up for the AAA (player pitch) division. 11 year-old 5th graders may tryout for the Majors Softball Travel team.
